Flying Fear

This is very late but I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help in overcoming my flying problem. I don't know what you did but I'd say I felt almost excited as the plane took off! That was definitely down to the hypnotherapy because I know my normal reaction would have been to start crying at that point! It was the strangest thing but I was pretty relaxed throughout the whole flight and even found the turbulence reassuring! I welled up when the plane touched down in Tokyo, it was such an overwhelming sense of achievement. The only problem is that I now I have the travelling bug and can't wait to plan my next trip! Thanks again.

Weight Management

I just wanted to let you know that I've been doing really well – generally eating less and thinking about food a lot less. I've also been jogging 2-3 times a week, which frankly is a minor miracle for me! So thank you so much for all your help, it's been truly transformational!

Hypnotherapy with Jennie helped me let go of unhealthy feelings and behavioural patterns towards food I had carried with me for most of my life. With only a couple of sessions, my attitude to food completely changed. Most notably losing my sense of guilt I used to feel around eating. The sessions were quite powerful in that afterwards I walked away feeling like something in my mind had shifted, and I was excited, waiting to see the results. Jennie is a very calm person and makes the whole process very relaxing.

I did very well – I lost 2.5 stone in the build up to my wedding in August. I think the hypnotherapy helped me change a number of habits including my attitude towards excercise, which I did a lot of before the wedding. I found that following the hypnotherapy I had a self confidence in regards to food that I hadn't had before. I wasn't an angel, I had the odd sweet or cake, but my control was great and I found I could have just one sweet. On one occasion I said no to pudding and not because I was on a diet or 'wasn't allowed' but simply because I didn't want it. I didn't feel the need to stuff myself indescriminately. My binge eating days are well and truly in the box.

Apart from enjoying the sessions hugely and I mean that in terms of feeling at ease with you, feeiing relaxed and able to talk to you openly. I believe I got something out of it. In some ways I want to say the benefits are intangible. This, I suppose, is partly due to the fact that with hypnosis, I feel that I don't exactly know what happened! I hope you understand this.

However, at the same time, I can only tell you that I have lost weight (nearly back into my old clothes!) I feel much more positive about my weight. In our last session I said to you that I didn't want my weight to be an issue anymore, I didn't want to have to think about it and to a greater extent that is how it is now. I haven't put in that much effort, I don't feel like I am on a diet and yet I have lost weight. I have a more positive attitude towards myself and my size. There hasn't been any miracle, overnight effect, but that would be unrealistic. I have not achieved my goals yet but things have improved hugely, albeit gradually and in a subtle way.

This is a bit rambling but it is hard to explain when you know something has changed but not sure how or what. Thank you for all your help.

Basically overall I feel that the hypnotherapy has been hugely beneficial. Before I would struggle with food and dieting, going through a cycle of dieting, failing and beating myself up over it. Now I have a much healthier attitude to food and it does not rule my life anymore. If I'm doing well, great. If not I don't worry about it. Overall I know I'm making good choices. It really has been like a weight has been lifted and for that I'm massively grateful to you! In terms of what weight loss I've achieved, the honest answer is not much at all (but then I didn't really have much to lose). I have slimmed down a bit, which I think is mostly due to the personal training I've been doing, although the change in my eating habits will definitely have contributed to that. The fact that it's not really showing on the scales is absolutely not a problem though, which is a huge change for me! I think I have a healthy attitude towards my appearance now and I also know that the changes I'm making in my diet and exercise are long term ones. They are ones that I plan to stick with for life, rather than short term ones that show immediately on the scales but not last. I have confidence that over time I will reach my optimum weight and be able to maintain it. Which is a first for me. I've struggled with my weight and how I see food, for my whole adult life, as have my entire family pretty much. To not have to deal with that is basically amazing.

I'm probably doing myself (and you) a dissevice by saying I haven't lost much weight. I have pretty much dropped a dress size, which I'm very pleased with, especially as it only took 3 to 4 months and was over the summer period. All good!

I used to be slightly cynical of hypnotherapy but having tried a broad range of diets over the years, that did not provide long term success, I thought I would give hypnotherapy a go. I was really impressed with Jennies' professional approach to the process and after my first visit I started to notice changes in my attitude towards food. I now enjoy a much broader diet and healthier foods have become appealing to me. This shift is helping me to loose weight at a steady, safe and sustainable rate. I would have no hesitation in recommending hypnotherapy to others.

NB I heard about John 2 years later (he had recommended me to a colleague of his)  that he continued to shed weight, getting rid of over 3 stone, finding a new girlfriend and having a great life.

I hope your well.  I have been meaning to write for ages. I wanted to say thank you for your assistance, support and patience with my hypnotherapy sessions.
 
I have lost half a stone (mainly from cutting carbs) but also I am not fixating about food any more, I sleep much better and although this week I am trying to eat healthy without faddy diets, I am not obsessing about my next meal, I plan my breakfast, lunch and dinner then that’s it, my head is free of food stuff. Also I still feel so free / light just like I did after my first amazing session with you.
 
I have had the most difficult time with my boss, but because of all your positivite suggestions, I have not crumbled, I pushed back and took positive steps to stop this behaviour, rather than feeling its all my fault and I deserve this. I have hardly any negative thoughts now.

I have found the sessions really, really useful as they have given me an insight into my patterns of overeating. I also think you have made me think about why these patterns are important to me. My sessions with Jennie were fantastic. I was obviously extremely nervous at first but I walked out of my first session totally relaxed and in a great frame of mind. Her techniques helped me get down to the reasons of why I over eat and I associate foods with certain emotions. A very useful tool. She was also approachable, friendly and extremely understanding, making it easy to open up and get to the bottom of any underlying problems.

The hypnotherapy helped me in so many areas of my life. Jennie very quickly understood my eating habits and concerns, pin pointing the probable cause within our first session. Almost immediately my appoach to eating became more grown up and I felt more capable of choosing the better options. It has made the whole process less stressful and more relaxed for me – I even managed tapas!

In additon to the eating Jennie and I discussed exercise and confidence. I used to dread the prospect of an hour in the gym but since the hypnotherapy I have found I have a more positive attitude towards exercise and I now enjoy it. I do 4 hours a week and really find the determination to push myself. Outside of the gym I have also started running at the weekends. Although I hate the running I am enjoying the achievement and the results.

I strongly believe I would not have made it to this point without Jennies' hypnotherapy.

I just can not believe how wonderful I feel after the first season of hypnotherpy. You spent alot of time finding all about me, getting to the bottom of why I need your help and what you thought was needed. You were so professional from start to finish but making me feel so very comfortable.

The first time was for my chocolate habit, and that was 2 years ago and I have not touch a piece since, and I can have it in the house. Amazing.

I came back to you again and we went though another session on my confidence and getting mind back on the right road, positive thinking. This again was amazing I feel so much better .

Slim Naturally Programme

Loretta's story

Loretta did one of the original programmes in 2004. She wanted to lose weight as she had had enough of hiding in big clothes and looking at photos that made her cringe. She was heading towards 50 and wanted to enjoy it being slimmer.

The first couple of sessions seemed to make no impact what-so-ever and this was really fustrating as everyone else on the course seemed to 'get it' from day one. But after one session something seemed to click and she realised that she felt comfortable eating less and making better choices and gradually changing her eating habits. Stopping the chocolate biscuits was relief as she had never been able to have just the one.

She hadn't really done any exercise before but as it was part of the programme she decided to cycle by her husband, round Richmond Park, as he was training for the London Marathon. Soon she needed to be pushed further and she joined the gym and got even fitter. In the meantime the lbs were melting away. The weight loss happened gradually and naturally. But she had got the fitness bug and was loving the cycling. She decided to put her new found energy to the test and embarked on a gruelling training schedule for a 100k charity ride. It was a mountainous route in South Africa. She felt particularly proud and amazed when she cycled past a group of fit young men on the road side, half way up a mountain, they had had to stop and she was still going!

I asked her what was the best things about getting slim, a slender, toned size 10 by now, and she said it was wonderful to able to fit into and to her 22 year old daughters clothes. But also to be part of her super fit family. When they used to go on skiing holidays she would leave the active stuff to her husband and 3 children but now it was her suggesting having a go at cross country skiing. She was thrilled to be part of this fit, healthy family.

I cannot recommend Jennie Francis highly enough.  Not only is she a very talented hypnotherapist, she is also an intelligent and empathetic listener. Jennie always takes the time to fully understand my concerns so that she can address these concerns in an appropriate and bespoke manner. Jennie has helped me enormously and for that I will be forever grateful.

Insomnia/Anxiety

Jennie’s work cannot be regarded high enough. Having been relieved of an anxiety issue that was plaguing my sleep, life has literally changed for the better. The pre-hypnosis nerves and inhibitions were quickly dispelled on meeting with Jennie and the 1-session of hypnosis put a stop to what had been 4 years worth of problems. I have recommended her work to countless people, who in turn, have had the same successful results, and who have also gone on to recommend her for a multitude of addictions/problems/worries to other friends. I am truly blown away by the powers of hypnosis and eternally grateful to Jennie for the time she spent with me.

By the way, Dan told me of two of his friends who you have also 'cured' which is great news….passing your details on is paying dividends for our friends, that's for sure!

Removing Limitations

Tom   Jennie Francis was a great support to me in my time of need.  She helped me overcome my difficulties and, while always professional, was friendly and easy to communicate with and open up to. She quickly grasped who I was and the nature of my issue enabling her to work through this with me quickly.
